COMPULSORY ACQUISITION – THE NEW
SHELLHARBOUR HOSPITAL, IS IT ALL GOOD
NEWS?
It was announced by the NSW government that $700 Million dollars would be used to erect a hospital in the suburb of Shellharbour, Illawarra in September 2020.
Details relating to the exact location of the site currently remain undisclosed, however, it can be reasonably expected that the Government would have to compulsorily acquire land for the purposes of constructing the hospital and surrounding infrastructure.
Compulsory acquisition for landowners, tenants and businesses can be an overall stressful process. The NSW government or their delegate (the acquiring authority) are required to reimburse you for appointing legal representatives. The reason for this is because you are entitled to legal advice and representation to ensure you get fair and reasonable compensation.
The BNC Lawyers acquisition team are dedicated in assisting client to ensure that the compulsory acquisition is a smooth process.
If you have received a letter or any contact from the NSW government or the NSW health department, please do not hesitate to contact us for free legal advice.
All the fees for BNC lawyers are deferred and are claimed directly from the acquiring authority.
